Who We Are

Go Deep Scuba, your premium dive training facility in both Wanganui and Palmerston North, Manawatu.  The Wanganui branch is both SSI and PADI Dive shop and is a Project AWARE Go Eco Operator.  The Palmerston North shop is a SSI Dive centre that recognises all training completed by other dive agencies.

You will receive top quality, safe and fun scuba dive training of all levels through to Instructor training.  Our friendly, experienced and professional team are waiting to answer your questions and with patience, alleviate your fears and anxieties, to ensure you enjoy your diving experience and are a confident and competent scuba diver .

Whether you are learning to dive or you are an experienced diver, we have an active social dive club, taking dive trips around New Zealand and overseas.  Throughout the year we run many scuba diving refresher courses, try scuba programmes and get the kids involved in school holiday programmes.

Go Deep Scuba was the winner of the ABN-AMRO Craigs Wanganui Business Awards "Leisure and Tourism Award" for 2008 and the "Micro Business Excellence" award in 2007.  Also winning the Project AWARE Foundation's Environment Achievement Awards for 2006 and 2007.

Your needs as a recreational diver are our prime focus.  If you have a busy work schedule or personal life, our courses are ultra flexible - so flexible in fact we have been described as being the gymnasts of the diving community.  We want you to have a great diving experience with Go Deep Scuba so  provide you with quality, safe and fun filled training.

All training is conducted in our classroom in Wanganui or Palmerston North where we provide some of the latest technology to bring your course in an easy to follow and to learn format.

We use locally based facilities in both regions for the confined water sessions that need to be completed. For the open water portion of the training we travel away usually to Wellington.

        Testimonials

"At the beginning of my Instructor's course, I felt challenged.  After having been through the course, passed the final evaluations, I feel liberated

and qualified, all with the friendly "Instructorship" of my Instructor Trainer, Sharon Grant.  Thank you muchly.  Richard Barker, OWI 35866

"Our senior students have worked with the team at Go Deep Scuba for the past two years, gaining their open water diving certificate

as well as NCEA credits for their physical education courses. Our instructor Sharon did a fantastic job of putting nervous students at

ease and was an expert at making each lesson fun and as informative as possible. She consistently went out of her way to make sure

that our students mastered all of the skills necessary before undertaking their first open water dive. She is a great communicator,

teacher and motivator. It is clear to see she is passionate about all aspects of diving, including teaching others.

It was fantastic to see the change in many of the students from giggling and nervous their first time in the pool, to confident and

careful divers; respectful of the underwater environment.

Our thanks extend to Sharon, Tracey and Anthony, for helping to make our first diving experiences positive, inspirational and

above all, safe! I know our students have gained some important life skills as well as accomplished some personal goals that

will remain with them forever." Alicia Johnson, Wanganui Girls’ College.
